From 18 November 2025, a major regulatory shift has taken effect: All directors and Persons with significant control (PSCs) must now verify their identity with Companies House.
This new legal requirement is part of the UK government’s broader effort to enhance corporate transparency and reduce economic crime. It applies to:
i. All new company registrations
ii. Every Confirmation Statement submission
What You Need to Do:
If you’re a director or PSC, you must verify your identity either:
i. Directly via Companies House using their online service, or
ii. Through an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP) such as Julius and Julius and Associates LLP, who can guide you through the process securely and efficiently.
Why It Matters:
Failure to verify your identity may result in delays, rejected filings, or non-compliance penalties. This requirement is not optional, as itβs now embedded in the Companies Act and tied to your ability to legally operate or update your company records.
Act now. Stay compliant. Protect your business.
